Rachael Sefton has spent her professional life as a dedicated educator, community leader, and business owner. A proud Texan, Rachael earned her undergraduate degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in education from Texas State University. Rachael served students in the Round Rock Independent School District for nearly three decades, first as an award-winning teacher and later as Round Rock ISD’s head of community partnerships. Rachael earned numerous awards as an educator, including being recognized by the Texas Governor as one of the state’s best, and has been a national presenter on service learning and student voice. Her innovative approaches to education and commitment to student and teacher success have inspired educators nationwide to embrace service as a catalyst for academic and personal growth.

Rachael left the classroom for the opportunity to impact every child in Round Rock ISD in a role that was pivotal in fostering district-wide academic and business partnerships and overseeing a vast network of volunteers. Her exceptional organizational skills and strategic vision enabled her to orchestrate events benefitting up to 15,000 participants, showcasing her ability to execute large-scale initiatives with precision and efficiency. Outside of her professional endeavors, Rachael is deeply entrenched in the community she has lived in since 1995. She serves as an active board member of the Round Rock Rotary Club and a Leadership Round Rock Team member for the Round Rock Chamber. She is also a board member of the Round Rock Police Foundation. Rachael’s dedication to community service underscores her commitment to making a positive impact beyond education. In addition to her contributions to education and community service, Rachael works alongside her husband Dan as owners of 100+ Jackson Hewitt Tax Franchises. Together, they have built a thriving business while steadfastly committed to family and community.

In her leisure time, Rachael enjoys time with her children, staying active through regular workouts, reading, and giving back to her community through volunteering. These hobbies serve as a source of personal fulfillment and reflect Rachael’s enduring commitment to personal growth and service to others.
